Inox (or Stainless Steel) is the common name for a large group of alloys that are resistant to rust. This rust resistance makes stainless steel products a good choice for many applications, including use outdoors, in water, in humid environments, and in high-temperature environments. An overview of the steps involved in stainless steel casting using the flow casting method is summarized below:

  1. Manufacturing molds and casting cores: Stainless steel molds are designed and manufactured according to the exact shape of the product. Based on detailed drawings, workers will make casting samples and cores. The commonly used material is aluminum alloy with low melting temperature, low hardness, cheap price and light weight.
  2. Wax modeling: Wax models are produced by injecting wax into aluminum alloy molds, where molds and product cores to be molded are placed.
  3. Creating a mold shell: The wax model will be melted and the wax will flow out through the pipeline. The wax model after reduction is an empty sand shell – a mold shell ready for further work.
  4. Pouring steel alloy into the mold: Stainless steel alloy is melted in a large furnace to a casting temperature above 1500 degrees Celsius. Then, this liquid is poured into the sand shell.
  5. Unmolding: After cooling and solidifying the stainless steel, the beveled shell will be broken using mechanical tools.
  6. Surface treatment: The product will be cut, excess part removed and then further processed to become a finished molded product. Please contact Lion Technical Solution to manufacture machine parts using aluminum alloy at a low price, with high feasibility and good quality. We will provide complete solutions from mold design, material selection, sample product provision, manufacturing and bulk delivery.
